Calculate the environmental impact of your transport
How does the calculation work?
WtW Methodology
Emissions are calculated using the "well-to-wheel" (WtW)methodology, which considers the entire energy cycle.
Transport by rail
Multimodal transport is simulated considering 10% of the route by road and the remaining 90% by rail, with a train powered by electricity based on average market data.
No empty return
An empty return parameter of 0 considered for both modes.

A transparent tool for more sustainable decisions
We have developed an emissions calculator to offer our customers and partners a simple but effective tool for estimating the environmental impact of road transport and comparing it with a multimodal alternative.
The tool is meant to simulate a FTL (Full Truck Load) road transport at ambient temperature with loads ranging from 25 to 33 tons.
Using the GLEC average emission parameters, the calculator provides an estimate of the equivalent CO₂ (CO₂e) and nitrogen oxide (NOₓ) emissions generated by road transport compared to those from combined road + rail transport.
This comparison makes it clear and immediate to see the potential emission savings that can be achieved by selecting an intermodal solution.
Why this tool?
Companies are increasingly required to quantify, reduce, and report their environmental impact,nd this tool represents a first concrete step toward more conscious and sustainable logistics..
Using it, you can simulate your next transportation and discover how much you can save on emissions by choosing smarter solutions.
